Leader Mutual Freight System operates under the United States Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) license as a Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC).
Our ocean freight bill of lading is formally registered with United States customs and with fully purchased bond. The ocean bill of lading for our China branch is also compliant with Chinese government regulations.
Like our air freight business, our ocean freight business has grown rapidly, reaping the fringe benefits of the business boom in China. Leader Mutual’s ocean freight business has grown from hundreds of FEU annually in Hong Kong and Shanghai to thousands of FEU each year. This business has grown most rapidly for the Shanghai to Europe route.
Our largest ocean freight clients are primarily electronics and high tech shippers. The products we transport include chemicals, hazardous materials, environmental (temperature)-controlled materials, automotive parts, high tech equipment and much more. We have contracts with most of the trans-Pacific ocean liners in the United States and China, enabling us to guarantee priority cargo space at a reasonable price for our clients.
